Promotion and Tenure

Candidate must spend a minimum of two full years of qualifying service at UT before the start of the academic year in which their promotion case is reviewed.

• i.e., review no earlier than third year

Tenure -track Assistant Professors

• Case reviewed in the sixth year of probationary service are considered on time reviews.

  • These cases are also mandatory reviews ("up or out").
