User Training

All Enterprise GIS Portal (Portal) users are recommended to complete the Portal_User_Basics Learning Plan to insure all users are equipped with the fundamental knowledge of GIS and Portal. This helps familiarizes users with the components needed to successfully navigate Portal and interact with various GIS data. The recommended order for the learning plan is GIS Basics followed by ArcGIS Online Basics.

Each new Portal user should receive an email invitation for this learning plan once their account has been created.

Requesting Training 

Process:

1. Identify the course name and number 
2. Send that information to academicsales@esri.com and request an academic quote.
3. Pay via credit card or PO.
4. Register on the Training site using the course purchase info.

Transfer, cancellation, and substitution requests must be made at least three (3) business days prior to the scheduled class start date:

• Multiple requests and any requests that occur without three (3) business days advance notice are subject to a fee, as determined by Esri.
• Cancellations that occur less than three (3) business days prior to the scheduled class start date are subject to the full training event fee.
• A substitute student must be from the same organization as the student being replaced.
