*For spectra, we recommend a minimum exposure time of 28 seconds (required to reach Fowler Sampling of 16) and a maximum exposure time of 300 seconds. Not abiding by the minimum can introduce undesirable and unphysical flux jumps between orders. Not abiding by the maximum can introduce a large amount of sky variation and cosmic rays throughout the exposure which can be difficult to correct.
