CLAIM is LAITS' inventory tool that contains helpful information for cross-referencing such as serial numbers, primary users and building information (if kept updated) 

Using CLAIM

Looking for information:

1. Above is the CLAIM interface where when typing in a tag number, the corresponding information
   
   
2.  By looking up any of these categories (tag, serial, primary user, etc) you can find all of the relevant item information
    CLAIM is not limited to computers but any and all equipment on campus that either requires a tag number or a means of being kept track of 

Editing an entry: 

1.  To edit an entry, you simply click the pencil icon at the far right of the row and from there you can update the primary user, building, room number etc to ensure our records are accurate.
