LAITS Student Success Support Overview
For all courses that Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS) produces, instructors are offered services and resources to aid in students’ success in the online course environment. Our primary goals with respect to student success are two-fold: (1) students earn passing grades in the course, and (2) students have a positive experience. Services include:

• Guidance on promoting student success in online courses
• Student-facing Online Course Technical Support
• Customizable “Pre-Class Activities” student orientation module in Canvas
• UT Student Success Reporting & Messaging tool and resources
• UT Student Success tool full-service support:

1. Notification messages to select students inactive in Canvas
2. Reminder messages to all students about upcoming due dates
3. Notification messages to select students about past due assignments

• Notification messages to select students with low TOWER VOD and Instapoll activity
