Imaging Science Fellowship Program Suggested Coursework Sequence

Trainees are required to take a sequence of 6 technical courses. Three of these courses are uniform for all trainees: (1) BME 381J.3 Biomedical Imaging Modalities, which is designed to be taken at the beginning of their studies; (2) BME 381J.8 Functional Imaging Laboratory, which is designed to serve as capstone experience at the end of the coursework phase of their training, and (3) BME 381J.15 Imaging Clinical Immersion. Trainees are individually advised in the selection of three additional courses to meet the following training goals: (1) image processing; (2) modeling and visualization; and (3) data mining and informatics, including artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.

Trainees are also required to register for and attend a series of seminars.

This is a suggested coursework sequence. Changes to the course sequence and/or course substitutions may be required due to course scheduling. Please be aware that some of these courses may have prerequisites.
