How to use intercom to contact test participants in CMB1 Behavioral Science Lab
Part I: Utilizing the Intercom System to Speak to Room via Ceiling Speaker
The Intercom System is capable of communicating with any room in CMB 1 Behavioral Science Lab which has ceiling speakers. These rooms are Experimental Lab 1 (CMB 1.124), Experimental Lab 2 (CMB 1.120), Experimental Lab 3 (CMB 1.118), Experimental Lab 4 (CMB 1.112A), Experimental Lab 5 (CMB 1.112B), the Focus Group Room (CMB 1.112), and the Natural Viewing Room (CMB 1.115).
Step 1: Locate the intercom on the assigned station and make sure all the buttons are lit.
Step 2: Press and Hold the corresponding button on the intercom to the room of which you would like to speak to.
Step 3: Speak into the microphone while holding the button.
Step 4: Release button when you are finished speaking to participants.
Part II: Utilizing the Intercom System to Speak to the Research Moderator via IFB
The IFB is an in-ear receiver that permits individual communication from the Control Room (CMB 1.109) Intercoms to the Research Moderator with the IFB Earpiece in any room within the CMB 1 Behavioral Science Lab. These rooms are Experimental Lab 1 (CMB 1.124), Experimental Lab 2 (CMB 1.120), Experimental Lab 3 (CMB 1.118), Experimental Lab 4 (CMB 1.112A), Experimental Lab 5 (CMB 1.112B), the Focus Group Room (CMB 1.112), and the Natural Viewing Room (CMB 1.115).
Step 1: Locate the IFB Belt-pack in the room
The Wireless IFB Belt-pack has a few parts:
- Ear Piece (Headphones)
- Wireless Receiver (Antenna)
- 2 AA Batteries
?
Step 2: Turn on the IFB
