How to Play a Non-Region 1 Disc in a Classroom
WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE THAT A NON-REGION 1 DISC WILL PLAY IN OUR SYSTEMS.
Our recommendations are:
1. Bring a DVD player that is set for the region of the disc you wish to play.
2. Extract the video from the disc into a computer file (mov/mp4). You can use the free application Handbrake to extract a movie from a DVD.
If you do not have a DVD player with the correct region and have not extracted your movie to a computer file you can try using VLC media player to play the disc.
Follow the steps below for using VLC with an external USB drive. This method will only work with external disc drives. You can check out an Apple SuperDrive from CMA 3.104.
