4th Year Course Scheduling Requirement
- Acting Internships - 8 weeks (4 weeks must be in a CORE AI, indicated below)
- Critical Care - 4 weeks
- Geriatric/Palliative Care - 2 weeks (if not completed in Year 2 or 3)
- Electives - 20 weeks: Maximum 8 weeks of away electives. Maximum 8 weeks of 2-week electives (including electives completed in Year 2 and/or Year 3). Maximum 4 weeks of Professional Development electives which are included in the 2-week elective count.
- Milestone One - 2 weeks (3/4/24 - 3/8/24). You don’t need to schedule this.

- Due to a change in the University calendar, MS3s have an opportunity to take one 2-week clinical elective in the 5/13 - 5/26 block. Any other 2-week block requires special approval.
- MS4s may not schedule anything past 4/28/24 as University Commencement is 5/11/24. DMS Class of 2024 commencement is 5/9/24.

Population Health
- This course requires in-person attendance in Kenya during the Dell Med elective period 11 (March/April), and has a restricted number of student seats due to its funding from the Division of Global Health. Registration for this course requires a submitted application and faculty support letter, as well as a panel interview with the Chief of the Division of Global Health. Application cycle opens in August for eligible MS4s only. Processing time is 2-3 months for internal review and committee approval. Accepted students will participate in a pre-departure orientation series alongside accompanying faculty supervisors.
