Azure FAQs

  • Microsoft Azure: "You don't have access to this" - You need to sign in to Microsoft Azure with the same email address and password you used to create your Microsoft Imagine profile and verify your academic enrollment with Microsoft Azure for Students with. Do notsign in with your UT EID and password. If you are automatically signed in using your UT EID, sign out and sign back in with the correct email and password. 
  • Microsoft Azure asking to sign up for a subscription when creating Web App Service- (1) Check that you've correctly signed up for a Microsoft Imagine profile at https://imagine.microsoft.com/en-US/Account/Manage (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. (Links to an external site.) (Account Status should say "Verified"). (2) Check that you've correctly verified your academic enrollment with Microsoft Azure for Students (read the instructions step by step and check that you've completed this section). (3) Make sure that both 1 & 2 were done with the same email address / password. (4) Make sure you're signed into the Azure Portal with the same email address / password as 1 & 2.
  • Problems verifying academic enrollment with Microsoft Azure for Students- Make sure pop-up blocking is disabled when you go through the instructions for this section.

  • Deleted wwwroot folder- Using FileZilla, you can just create the folder again by right clicking and selecting "Create directory". Just make sure the folder / directory is in the right place.
  • "You do not have permission to view this directory or page" error- If you get this error, your files aren't in the right place on the server. Use FileZilla and make sure your index.html file is in the wwwroot folder (not in a subfolder inside of wwwroot)
