Poster Printing for Research

PGE offers a poster printing service on a large format printer for a small fee.  To request a poster, please use this form and make sure you upload the poster file before you submit it:

Poster Specifications:

The printer supports paper rolls with a length of 24", 36", 42".   It is best if the poster file is created with one of the edges matching one of those sizes.  The most common posters are 42"x54" or 42"x56"Powerpoint (PPT/PPTX) and PDF files are acceptable and can generally be scaled to match the paper size as necessary.  If you require a specific size, please include that in the notes of your submission.

Poster Tips:

  • Start with a template file that matches the final dimensions that you would like on the printed poster.
  • Avoid using a black or very dark background
  • Use high resolution image files for any embedded images (300 dpi or better if possible) for the best quality outcome.
  • Only use official logo files for UT, PGE, the Cockrell School of Engineering, or any associated research projects.

Submission Tips:

Please complete your poster submission at least 2 business days (M-F) prior to the time when you need it.  Same-day service is not guaranteed and is often unavailable, and last-minute submissions risk not getting completed.

For a research project, contest, or conference that requires a large number of posters, please notify the PGE IT staff at pge-support@austin.utexas.edu several weeks in advance to make sure we have enough printing supplies in stock.

Please refer to the UT PGE Branding Guidelines.

Poster Cost and Payment

The cost for each poster is $10.  This can only be paid by a UT Account number that is to be included in the submission form.  For posters that are intended for classroom or teaching use, you may enter CLASSROOM in place of the account number.  **Note - no personal accounts or funds can be used.**
