Sending Transcripts to UT - Theatre and Dance Majors

Need to submit your transcript to UT for college courses you completed at another college, including dual credit?

After grades are posted, please send an official transcript from that institution to the UT Office of Admissions.
Courses in which grades lower than C− are earned do not transfer.
Grades from transfer credit (except University Extension courses) are excluded from a student's UT Austin GPA computation.

Where should I send the transcript?

Option A - Parchment or SPEEDE server:  If available at college/university submitting the transcript.

Option B - Online Submission:  Admissions cannot accept transcripts submitted via email.  If your college or university can only email transcripts, have an official transcript sent directly to your email address. You can then upload it to the Document Upload System in MyStatus.
Ensure the uploaded document is a digital scan or PDF version of an official transcript, with front and back included. Any document labeled “unofficial,” grade reports or advising reports, photos (i.e., images taken with a smartphone) and screen shots are not acceptable.

Option C - Hand Deliver official transcript to:

Covert Admissions Welcome Center in the Perry-Castañeda Library (PCL)
101 East 21st St. (The entrance faces Speedway)
Austin, Texas 78712

Option D - Mail official transcript to:

The University of Texas at Austin
Office of Admissions
P.O. Box 8058
Austin, Texas 78713

I sent an official transcript to UT, how do I know if UT has received it?

You can check your MyStatus page online for documents received by UT.  It does not imply that the credits have already been placed on your UT student record.  Plus, you won't be able to view the actual document.

  1. Login to the MyStatus portal.
  2. Click on the “My Documents” tab.
  3. Review the list of all documents/transcripts that UT has received.

UT received my transcript; how do I verify that the course satisfied a degree requirement?

After a transcript has been evaluated by UT Admissions (can take several weeks), you may Run a Degree Audit online to see which degree requirements you may have satisfied.

UT received my transcript a month or more ago, but the class is still not showing up on my degree audit?

Please verify you selected the "current & future" boxes before running your degree audit.  If the class still isn't there, you should call the Office of Admissions at 512-475-7399 to find out if the transcript has been processed.
