How to Audition for Theatre and Dance Productions as a Non-Major
Auditions for Department of Theatre and Dance shows are open to UT Austin students in any major, though Theatre and Dance majors will receive casting priority. General auditions are held in October and February for the following term (auditions in October for Spring productions; auditions in February for productions the following Fall). Information will be posted here in advance of those auditions.

2 one-minute monologues:
Style: 1 Dramatic and 1 Comedic

Ain’t No Mo’

Synopsis:
Through a blend of sketch, satire and avant-garde theatre, Ain’t No Mo’ answers the incendiary question: What if the United States government offered Black Americans one-way plane tickets to Africa?
This unpredictable comedy speeds through the turbulent skies of being Black in today’s America. A kaleidoscope of moments surrounding this great exodus are told by an ensemble cast featuring Peaches, a larger-than-life flight agent boarding the final plane leaving the United States.
Ain’t No Mo’ leaves audiences crying with laughter - and thinking through the tears.

What begins as a family dispute over funeral arrangements spirals into a visceral reckoning with an impending extinction. Vulturine is a darkly humorous confrontation between father and son, tradition and nihilism, life and the abyss.

Synopsis:
1591 in a village on the outskirts of North Berwick, Scotland. A priest wakes up from a nightmare that foretells he will slowly die a horrible and agonizing death over the course of the next three days. What follows is a mad one man witch hunt to find the source of his curse and hopefully reverse it. Meanwhile, a coven of witches must perform a ritual to stop his slow death, believing that a crusade might ensue otherwise. Turning their quiet small town into a living hell.
