If alarm goes off, but there is no emergency, call 471-2545 and let them know it is a false alarm. Press the “silence” button to quiet the alarm.

In case of -80C freezer failure

When the freezer warms to about 65C the alarms goes off. Someone in Facilities Control Management will start calling people on the list given them.

If you happen to be in the lab, you will need to do the following:

Rescue priority:

-all human material (absolute priority!!!), all boxes marked in red. 

- all current projects material, blue

- human blood samples, green

-old projects, yellow

- practice etc material, grey (does not need to be rescued, only, if there is space)

Move as many racks as possible to back up -80C freezer, located in 1.122 (autoclave room), the one on the right side. Move everything, what does not fit in back up  -80C freezer, to back up -20C freezer in 1.124 (empty freezer) and to -20C freezer in 1.150.
