*Reminder: We cannot make/cancel/change DSP Appointments – they must be made by the student using the online reservation system – link can be found through Sanger >Academic Support>Discovery Scholars Program (That means anyone who has an appointment with Darcy, Nisha, Bryan, or Grace).

  1. Use the following link to get to MyUGS  https://utdirect.utexas-insight.symplicity.com/manager
  2. Click Appointments. Appointments is your home page – it has everything you'll need to access including upcoming appointments and the link to book appointments
  3. To book an appointment: click Find Availability. We don't want to create a new appointment - we want to pick up an available appointment that a Learning Specialist has already created.

      4. ‘Find Availability’ brings you to exactly what the student would see if they were booking it themselves. Here you will select the Type (Sanger Learning Center>Learning Specialist>Academic Probation, Time Management, etc) and the Date Range, with both of those options completed you can click ‘Check Availability.’ the Location drop down menu does not need to be completed, nor do you need to select a specific Learning Specialist.

  7. At this point, you should repeat the appointment information back to the student, include the date, time, and who they will be meeting with. You should also inquire to if the student has ever come to our office before/if they know where we are located –  if     not, give them brief directions. Let the student know that a confirmation email will be sent to them which summarizes all the information you just gave them and if they need to make any changes to their appointment to either log on to our new appointment system by clicking "Talk to a Learning Specialist" on the Sanger website or calling us back.

  8. Click "Submit."  A confirmation email will be automatically sent.
