In Engineering, Faculty and others with special circumstances can obtain a secondary domain account that has administrative privileges on their UT Windows computer. This account should NEVER be used for daily work. It should be used sparingly and cautiously. You can use this account to install software from well-known and trusted vendors. Please note that the Cockrell School of Engineering has special security policies in place that restrict which folders an application can be run from. Please see the following wiki to ensure you are installing an application in an appropriate folder - Blocked Application (AppLocker) |
