NOTE: IF YOU HAVE TWO TRACKS L TRACK AND A RIGHT TRACK THEN USE THE NORMAL AUDIO IMPORTING WORKFLOW AND PAN THE TRACKS LEFT AND RIGHT IN AVID. THE AUDIO WILL COME INTO AVID PROJECT MONO AND MUST BE PANNED. See this wiki doc
USE THE FOLLOWING WORKFLOW FOR A SINGLE FILE LtRt track that was exported stereo interleaved.

Step One – Make sure you AVID Project is set to 24 bit audio.

Go to the Project Window and click on the Settings tab


Click ON Audio Project

Choose the "Main" tab and make sure the Sample Rate is 48 and the Audio File Format is set to PCM (MXF) 24bit


Close this settings dialog by clicking on the "red" x to close

Next import the audio LtRt track from the exported mix session documents


Select the AVID bin to import the audio files into or create a new bin.


Go to >File>Import

Navigate to the folder containing the mix file select the file and then click on the Options

Go to the "Audio" tab. Make sure that Sample rate convert source sample rate to project sample rate is checked. Also do no convert sources with pullup and down rates is checked.

Next click on the "Edit" button.

You have to tell the AVID software to make channels A1 and A2 into a stereo file.

Choose the stereo option in the pulldown.
