Monitors

Creating slides for the BSOM monitors:

Log in to the site with your EID and password at: https://blogs.utexas.edu/bsom-monitors/wp-admin/

Create a slide: (Download .PSD Tempate)
1. Slide images should be 1920 pixels wide x 1020 pixels high.
2. Optimize your images by following these instructions: http://blogs.utexas.edu/cofawebteam/site-performance/optimization/image-optimization/

Add/Edit/Delete a slide:
To create, edit, or delete slides, click the "Slideshow" link found in the left-hand menu.
Add a new slide:
Click the "Add New Slide" button. (see attachment Screen-Shot-2-Editing-New-Slide.png)
Use the "Add Media" button to open the Media Library.
In the Media Library (see attachment Screen-Shot-3-Using-Media-Library.png):
Include alternate text that includes any text in the slide. This is important in case the image doesn't load for some reason and since people can access the screen on any device.
Select the image to insert into the slideshow.
Select the option that sets the image as "Full Size".
Click the "Insert into Post" button on the bottom-right.
Check the box located to the right of the editing area labeled "Monitor Slides Group".
Click the "Publish" button when you have completed your edits. The new slide, assigned to the proper "Monitor Slides Group", should automatically appear on the slideshow.
Delete or Edit a slide:
Hover your mouse over a slide to reveal options to move the item to the "Trash" or edit it.
