External Publicity
Policies and Procedures
- All assets for external publicity must be submitted no later than 4 weeks prior to the event.
- Without assets, there is no way to promote events externally
- Assets should be submitted to publicity@mail.music.utexas.edu
Definitions
- "External publicity" normally refers to publicity via the following mechanisms:
- The BSOM website homepage image carousel and accompanying news story section
- Social media (BSOM Facebook and Twitter accounts)
- Constant Contact weekly email blast of BSOM events
- Poster production (at the cost of the sponsoring faculty member)
- Coverage in local media
- "Assets" refers to:
- Relevant images, such as headshots
- Bios of the performers
- A descriptive blurb of the performance
