External Publicity

Policies and Procedures

  • All assets for external publicity must be submitted no later than 4 weeks prior to the event.
  • Without assets, there is no way to promote events externally
  • Assets should be submitted to publicity@mail.music.utexas.edu

Definitions

  • "External publicity" normally refers to publicity via the following mechanisms:
    • The BSOM website homepage image carousel and accompanying news story section
    • Social media (BSOM Facebook and Twitter accounts)
    • Constant Contact weekly email blast of BSOM events
    • Poster production (at the cost of the sponsoring faculty member)
    • Coverage in local media 
  • "Assets" refers to:
    • Relevant images, such as headshots
    • Bios of the performers 
    • A descriptive blurb of the performance
