Report an Observation

When we hear of interesting occurrences from the public or researchers, we document them here and periodically add them to the Fishes of Texas Project database (see them there as source "FoTX-accounts").

We encourage anyone with observational data for Texas fishes (or areas in shared hydrologic basins) to report them in some way or another to make them available for researchers. If you have a photo that you have copyright on, it is best placed on iNaturalist on our Fishes of Texas Project, which is managed by us and Texas Parks and Wildlife, from where we also harvest data for the fishes of Texas database. If you know of an observation and lack a photo, or if you have a photo in which you lack copyright permissions, submit it to us directly using this Google Form.
