Sb cell flux directioner
The Sb cell flux directioner (PBN plate with a peace sign at the tip of the Sb valve) is meant to improve flux efficiency by directing flux through tiny holes, towards the substrate. After several conversations with VEECO, the correct orientation was determined.
The notch should be as close to the substrate as possible.
Taking into account the shallow upward looking port → we want the peace sign between 9-10 o’clock and (notch between 3-4 o’clock)
A “P” was engraved in the metal shielding at the angle the center of the peace sign should sit. 180 degrees opposite the peace sign is the notch, which corresponds to an engraved “N”.

Chris: "The nozzle is indeed present, but it is clearly not oriented correctly. Most of our nozzles (including it appears this one) have two halves for the jets with a clear line of “missing jets” between the two sectors. You can see this line of missing jets in both pictures but it is more clear in this one. I’ve added the two red lines to highlight the current orientation. I’ve also added some blue lines highlighting the correct orientation (with the arrow where the notch should be). Having the nozzle rotated will impact the amount of build up in the wagon wheel as well an negatively impacting the uniformity and utilization. Given that though, I think you need to become comfortable with a larger amount of buildup than with your older cracker just given the significantly larger diameter of the needle/nozzle on the Mark V cracker than with the Mark IV. The opening on this cryopanel is not very large so the impact may be higher for you than other customers see when switching."
