Installing Microsoft Apps

Microsoft 365 users with eligible accounts can download and install apps such as the Microsoft Office suite.

Have you tried Microsoft 365 on the web?

Most Microsoft Office tasks can also be done using the web apps!

Before You Begin

  • Microsoft 365 resources are blocked on the Guest (utguest) network.  If you are on campus wifi, you must be on the utexas network in order to sign into Microsoft 365.

  • If you are using a University-owned computer, you may need administrator privileges to install programs, or these apps may already be installed.  If this applies to you, please contact your department's IT support team for assistance.

  1. In a web browser, navigate to https://office365.austin.utexas.edu/ and select Office 365 Portal.

  2. Sign in with your UT EID and password when prompted. You may also be presented with a DUO multi-factor authentication authentication prompt.
