The Peek-a-Bear is a model made out of paper from the book Karakuri: How to Make Mechanical Paper Model That Move (written by Keisuke Sake and translated by Eri Hamaji). This model is manually cut and assembled from a template in the book. The Peek-a-Bear mechanism reproduces a the motion of a bear playing the game peek-a-boo as the user turns a crank on the outside.
