Welcome to the UT Linked Data Learning Group wiki!

This informal learning group aims to attract current library and archival staff at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as members of the wider UT community at large interested in linked data implementation, including current and former faculty, staff, and students. Discussion topics focus on sustainability, visibility and assessment of local linked open data projects. While there may be data linked internally within the various systems we use, our group aims to focus on efforts leveraging linked open data (LOD), that which is already published & open.

Goals

  • Leverage expertise and experiences of group members

  • Share successes and challenges

  • Identify strategies to evaluate and promote the impact of local linked data projects

  • Work to build institutional support needed to integrate linked data technologies into routine metadata workflows

Meetings

The group meets regularly on the 4th Wednesday of the month. Meetings are being held in Zoom and are scheduled for 1h 30min.
