Retrospective review of 2024 | all | - Big emphasis on learning and researching new tools and events on linked data out in the library world, maintaining collective awareness and skills up
- Tracking & sharing updates from the field (national and regional group activities and resources, conference presentations):
- PCC
- ALA
- Ex Libris & ELUNA Linked Open Data Community of Practice
- LD4
- BIBFRAME
- MidWest Collaborative for Library Services
- LODLAM (unsure if it happened in 2024, no UT folks attended, we don't think)
- Focus on awareness and exploration of ExLibris Alma/Primo and OCLC linked data developments
- AlmaRefine Cloud App
- limited utility for us bc can’t handle scale of our needs and records, best for working one on one with records; it is a third-party developed app
- Primo Person Info Card
- We've been waiting for it to not be so buggy, value-add for Primo users, doesn't work with our Wikidata entries that don't also have LC name authorities
- Alma BIBFRAME support
- increasing support alongside MARC records, opportunity for catalogers to get used to working with BIBFRAME in-situ
- Alma Linked Open Data Enrichment Configuration
- mediated by Access Systems LSP admins - have to choose what vocabularies to accept so not any URI can be added.
- OCLC enhancing records with Entity URIs
- These are coming into Alma generally speaking, although more analysis is needed to confirm all these OCLC enhancements make it in past our normalization rules applied to imported records.
- OCLC Meridian Entity Editor
- Entity search and download is freely available; adding and editing entities available for fee (in addition to our existing OCLC service subscriptions)
- OCLC WorldCat Entities API
- Shared UTL API workspace in Postman is currently in development - experimentation pending
- Wikidata knowledge & skill-building
- TCDL Workshop
- Research Study by Hanlin Li
- iSchool engagement
- Spring 24 Capstone project
- Supporting Hanlin's research

Brainstorm Ideas & Goals for 2025 - Skipped, bring to next meeting with more attendees. | all | - Group brainstorm
- What are folks most interested to get out of this group this year?
- What do folks want to continue working on or shift focus to this year?
- Specific projects or goals you want to work on?
- IDEA: Alternate discussion/planning and hands-on activity/workshopping month to month
- E.g. Discuss and plan potential mini-projects or activities one month, then actually do work/activities in next month's meeting timeslot (may require coordination/setup work between these meetings)
