Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services

Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) is a version of Active Directory without the domain infrastructure and intended to provide directory services for applications. AD LDS has been implemented at UT Austin to supplement the services available via the Austin Active Directory. The primary instance of AD LDS contains a subset of the information available Austin Active Directory and is focused on LDAP authentication for resources and services.
