Set up Mobile Stage (4x8)

Set up instructions for the 4-foot by 8-foot mobile stage.  This mobile stage is easily transported and can be set to three different heights, 8-inches, 16-inches, and 24-inches.  There are two separate independent stages that can be placed side by side to create an 8-foot by 8-foot stage or a 4-foot by 16-foot stage.

IMPORTANT:  This stage must be set up by two people.  Do not attempt to set this stage up if you are alone.

Wear gloves when setting up and tearing down this stage

Set the stage to 8 inches

Move the stage to the location where it will be deployed.  With your foot, depress the locks on the wheels on each side of the stage.

NOTE: Only two of the four wheels have locks.

To set the stage to be 8-inches high, you need to unscrew the four short legs from the bolts that secure them to the bottom of the stage (there are two on the underside of each section of the stage). Screw them down tight into the provided threaded holes on each corner of the stage.

All four 8-inch legs should be attached as shown here →

Now that all four 8-inch legs have been attached, with the help of another person, lean the stage to one side and lower it so that it lays flat on the ground.

Next, remove the bracket that holds the two sections of the stage together during storage and transport.

Use the supplied Allen wrench (attached to the bottom of the stage), to remove the bracket from its secure position holding the two stage sides together (see above photo).

While the stage is in use, attach the storage bracket to the threaded nut on the bottom of the stage.  This will ensure the bracket does not get lost while the stage is in use.

Now you are ready to fully deploy the stage

Lift the other side of the stage and unfold it.  The stage will now lay flat and is ready for use.

When Finished with the Stage

Reverse the above steps to return the stage to its storage position.

With the stage flat on the ground, lift one side of the stage and fold it back on top of the other section.

WARNING

The stage sections are heavy

Be very careful when folding the stage over to not smash your fingers.  When folding the first section grab onto the 8-inch leg post to lower the section.  Do not grab the section around the edges of the stage.

IMPORTANT:  Re-attach the transport bracket to secure the two stage sides together.

It is important to re-attach this transport bracket before lifting the stage back upright.

Now that the transport bracket is secure, lift the stage back up to rest on the wheels.

Remove the 8-inch legs and return them back to the threaded nuts on the bottom of the stage.

The stage is now ready to be transported and stored.

To set the stage to 16-inches

To set the stage to 16-inches simply pull out the attached legs and lock the hinges down until they lock into place.

To lock the hinges into place you will need to push down on the center of the hinge to make sure it locks into place.

Repeat this step for the other section of the stage.

There are two leg braces on each section of the stage for a total of four leg braces.

Now that all four 16-inch leg braces have been extended, with the help of another person, lean the stage to one side and lower it so that it lays flat on the ground.

Lift the other side of the stage and unfold it.  The stage will now lay flat and is ready for use at 16-inches high.

When Finished with the Stage

Reverse the above steps to return the stage to its storage position.

With the stage deployed and flat on the ground, lift one side of the stage and fold it back on top of the other section.

WARNING

The stage sections are heavy

Be very careful when folding the stage over to not smash your fingers.  When folding the first section do not grab the edges of the stage section.  This could cause your fingers to get smashed between the two stage sections.

IMPORTANT:  Re-attach the transport bracket to secure the two stage sides together.

It is important to re-attach this transport bracket before lifting the stage back upright.

The stage is now ready to be transported back to storage.

To set the stage at 24-inches high

To set up the stage at 24 inches high,  pull the pins on the attached legs.

Loosen the locking bolt.

Extend the leg.  Tighten the locking bolt, and reinsert the pin.   To re-insert the pin, match up the holes on the extension leg.

Repeat this for all four legs, and the stage will be set up for 24-inches high.
