Renewal Mentor Training: Mentoring Moments
This asynchronous online training is offered to cooperating teachers and field supervisors working with student teachers and teacher residents from The University of Texas at Austin.
State requirements:
Texas requires cooperating teachers to complete mentor training for each new student teacher or resident placement. This training must be completed within 12 weeks before, or no later than 2 weeks after, the placement begins.
Renewal Option:
If you completed the full 90-minute training within the past 3 years, you may take a shorter 20 minute renewal version.
To receive credit:
Listen to the audio or read the transcript.
Score at least 8 out of 10 on the quiz.
You can revise your answers using the Back button.
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certificate by email.
