Column header comment

Every column you work with in an Excel spreadsheet should have a detailed explanation in the column header comment field (create a comment) that indicates exactly what is in that column.

For example, if you are working on naming a synapse type the comment header should indicate all the symbols in the column and how you arrived at the distinctions.

• e.g.  Synapse type: 

  • sym - symmetric pre- and postsynaptic thickenings, pleomorphic vesicles, followed to more than one synapse of the same type along the axon.

  • asym - thickened postsynaptic density, round presynaptic vesicles
