Introduction
LAITS determines Minimum Computer Hardware Standards (this link needs updates) and provides Recommended Models. Additionally, we offer a list of Optional Accessories.

Adhering to these Standards prevents the following issues:
Encryption Compliance: Ensures encryption is enabled, as required by the State, by including a TPM chip.
Efficiency: Reduces lead time for preparing non-standard computers.

Displays
There are many options for Dell monitors, however, these are the most popular and offer the most features and best displays available. HUB monitors will allow for a single USB-C cable connection (between laptop and monitor) to provide power to a laptop and audio/video. For most faculty/staff, there will be no need for a docking station with the purchase of a HUB monitor.

Note: Dual Displays with the Belkin Thunderbolt 2 Dock
To use dual displays, at least one must be Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 technology-ready. For displays that are not Thunderbolt technology-ready, the Thunderbolt port is backward compatible with Mini DisplayPort. The dock supports either HDMI or Mini DisplayPort, but not both simultaneously. We are working on another recommendation.
