Classroom and AV Technical Support
The Classroom Support team provides support for installed audio visual systems in over 700 rooms across 48 campus buildings.
LAITS Classroom Support strives to provide the necessary tools and environment for a state of the art teaching and learning experience at the University of Texas. We accomplish this by routinely checking classrooms in the mornings before faculty arrive for class to ensure audio/video equipment is working properly for class.
The AV Technical Support service includes diagnosing technical issues with AV equipment installed in supported spaces, including hardware errors, issues with equipment, and coding issues with integration equipment.
The AV User Support service includes diagnosing and resolving end-user issues with AV/Classroom systems, including basic user instruction for the AV equipment installed in supported spaces.
We provide standardized classroom computer ‘images’ to be used with AV consoles in classrooms, meeting rooms, and similar spaces. The service includes regular patching of operating system and software, security and compliance implementation, troubleshooting, and managing repair of in-warranty computers.
