REDCap is a simple and secure online platform for building and managing data collection. It creates flexible and robust online surveys and databases for any type of data. It was created for clinical and research data. The medical and academic communities continue to be REDCap’s primary users. However, with time, it has also been commonly used for quality control and administrative data projects in those respective fields. What distinguishes REDCap from others is that it allows each member organization to utilize REDCap for free as long as the member organization pays for the hosting of their instance. This allows individuals and teams in these organizations to use REDCap for free.
