REU Program IT Resources

UT DUO - is multi-factor authentication (MFA) system that protects your UT online accounts by using a second source of validation, like a phone or token, to verify user identity before granting access.   Most UT services require MFA. UT DUO should be the first service to set up and configure.

UTexas WiFi - Current students, faculty, staff, and official visitors have access to the wireless network on campus (SSID: utexas).

VPN - VPN (Virtual Private Network) is an application that allows you to connect to the UT network. VPN is required to access UT services from off-campus.  To access the PRC Stats server, you will need the UT VPN software.

UT Box - UTBox is a cloud storage solution offered to faculty, staff, and students at the University of Texas at Austin. UT Box provides a secure cloud-based file sharing platform for business and academic purposes. 

PRC Account - A PRC Account has been created for you to access the REU project files and applications.

  • Log on to UT Stache to access your PRC username and password. (The PRC account is different than your UT EID.  You will need your UT EID to log on to UT services.
  • Log on to https://stache.utexas.edu/ for your PRC username and password.

Stats Server Access - To access the PRC Stats server, create a remote desktop connection.
