Biological Mass Spectrometry/Proteomics Facility Home
There is no charge for the scheduled 30 min consultation prior to sample submission to optimize sample preparation and MS workflow.
This is the home of the Biological Mass Spectrometry Facility space.
The Biological Mass Spectrometry Facility provides services, self-service equipment, and collaborative research for the detection, characterization, and quantification of proteins and other biomolecules. We provide proteomics services, detection of PTMs, and quantitation. We also have metabolomics services and self-service MALDI instrumentation for chemicals and polymers as well as biomolecules. The facility labs are located in MBB 1.420 (College of Natural Sciences). We are part of the Center for Biomedical Research Support (CBRS) supported by the Office of the Vice President for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors.
We are accepting online sample submissions using FBS. https://fbs.icmb.utexas.edu/Anon/Logon.aspx?logoffsuccess=true If you do not have an account yet, please email us at pmaf@austin.utexas.edu and FBS will send a welcome email for your access. Finally, we prefer that you consult with us prior to sample submission so we can advise you on sample preparation and the best analysis for your needs. There is no charge for the scheduled 30 min consultation prior to sample submission to optimize sample preparation and MS workflow.
