Closing Registration

Emergency shut off of Registration

Open the RAS for your semester https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/registrar/ras/

Click the Emergency button

Select what day you want to turn off registration

Hitting options does not turn off or on registration

Confirm you have the right semester, and date in the header

Registrar Only will remove access to the web for everyone, and will leave registration on for terminal to registrar staff. Delete will delete all access.

Set Waitlist Status to Off to be turn off the wait list system. Hit submit, this will change our registration tables.

If you changed access type to Registrar only, you can reopen registration by changing all slots to Web Reg. You can then Select a Period to review and change anything you need to change back by selecting a day to edit (recreating terminal, etc).

When these changes occur is should reset the AIV Values, check them here: https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/registrar/ras/aiv_view/!

If they did not reset correctly, you need to contact a developer and have them follow these instructions.

Open a 3270 terminal

go to DPUSER

COMMAND: TX

Server Name: NRNBS001

Broker Version: PROD

Take note of what server is up, specifically the USER ID and TID, you will need to Deregister this.

Now go to the TR Command with same Server Name and Broker Version, Hit Enter

Now go back to the TX screen

Mark a D next to the Server that was not started by your DPUSER Logon, hit enter

Repeat these steps with Server Names, NRNBS001, NRNBS002, NRNBS004, NRNBS007, NRNBS008, and NRCLAV.

Now email this list: ITS-Systems <its-systems@austin.utexas.edu> , CC: White, Jon <jon.white@austin.utexas.edu> and Jones, Brick T (brick.jones@austin.utexas.edu)

Hello System Staff,

We have had an emergency shut down of Registration. We need to create Production Web Servers for NRNBS001, NRNBS002, NRNBS004, NRNBS007, NRNBS008, and NRCLAV.

We have created development versions of them temporarily.  If you have any questions please email us back at sis-registration@utlists.utexas.edu. We appreciate your help so much. Please let us know if you can do anything for you while we work on the problem.

Thank you,
