Lined scripts
A lined script is a visual record and summary of how a scene is being shot.
denotes:
setups
shot types
scene numbers
and often:camera roll
footage numbers
A version of the script created by the script supervisor while filming; uses vertical lines to detail the action being covered from each setup.
*Edit*: In class, Steinbauer talked about it more as a pre-production tool to plan out which scenes would need what coverage; having someone fill it out as a record of what footage is what while shooting would be an excellent idea.
