  • Screen dailies

  • Log and capture footage (selects). Do not overlook importance of logging.

  • Assembly cut  pre-preliminary cut. Only scenes put together in order but without thoughts to cutting

  • Rough Cut preliminary cut. Cutting has roughly been done to frame, but there is still place to move around.

  • Picture Lock  Finished edit without sound.

  • Edit Sound Sound editing begins.

  • Sound Mix  sound is mixed into one track.
