Scholarships
Scholarships can be provided to graduate and undergraduate students in support of their travel, research, financial need, or merit. To do so, complete the , a form provided by COFA. Note there are separate tabs for undergraduate and graduate students. There are also two “Dept Code” tabs that provide a key for what to enter in the “dept area to charge” column, based on the student’s department and specific area of study. Complete all columns unless marked as Dean’s Office Use Only. Submit the form to Erik by email (elf5@mail.utexas.edu) for review, who will then upload it for processing by COFA staff. It can take up to several weeks for a student to receive a scholarship into their bank account, so if the student must have funds in hand by a certain date, it is recommended to submit the form to Erik a month ahead of that date.
If you are a student who will be receiving a scholarship, add or update your non-payroll direct deposit acct as described here: Nonpayroll Direct Deposit Bank Account. As the page states, you should add/update “the bank account shown in the Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) Information section of the My Bank Information site in UT Direct”.
