Submitting restore requests

Submitting restore requests

Collection managers and other library staff can request access to collection material preserved in our long-term digital archive.

To submit a request, please fill out this Archivematica restore request form. The Digital Preservation Coordinator will fulfill your request in approximately seven business days, unless the request is time-sensitive. You will receive automated emails with a request ID number (this will aid in the location of your material) and when your request is finalized.

To complete the form, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Your full name

  • Your unit/department (example: Digital Stewardship)

  • A description of the items to be restored (example: txu-oclc-123456.tif and txu-oclc-7891011.tif, example: all tifs in SIP 2025_0001)

  • Collection name the item(s) is from (example: Visual Resources Collection)

  • Purpose of the request (example: DAMS migration)

  • Time-sensitivity of material (example: yes, would need it by DD-MM, example: no)

  • What parts of the AIP to restore (example: the entire AIP)

  • Preferred delivery location (example: UTBox folder, example: \\disk2.lib.utexas.edu\benson\restore\)
