For students starting fall 2016 and later

  • Prepare written research proposal
  • Form dissertation committee in consultation with supervisor and set date and location for oral exam 2-3 months in advance
  • Give research proposal to committee at least 2 weeks prior to oral exam, for review
  • Prepare oral exam presentation
  • Submit Chemical Engineering Candidacy Examination Form electronically at least one week prior to the exam
  • No food allowed starting January 2018
  • Complete online application to candidacy on the Graduate School website
  • Register for -99R, and the next semester register for -99W (Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, you will only need to register for *99W courses; the *99R will be retired)
  • Continue to register for -99W every semester, including the semester you graduate
  • No labels
