- Prepare written research proposal
- Form dissertation committee in consultation with supervisor and set date and location for oral exam 2-3 months in advance
- Give research proposal to committee at least 2 weeks prior to oral exam, for review
- Prepare oral exam presentation
- Submit Chemical Engineering Candidacy Examination + Rubric Form electronically at least one week prior to the exam. A copy of the rubric can be found here.
- No food allowed
- Complete online application to candidacy on the Graduate School website
- Register for -99W
- Continue to register for -99W every semester, including the semester you graduate
