Prepare written research proposal

Form dissertation committee in consultation with supervisor and set date and location for oral exam 2-3 months in advance

Give research proposal to committee at least 2 weeks prior to oral exam, for review

Prepare oral exam presentation

Submit Chemical Engineering Candidacy Examination + Rubric Form electronically at least one week prior to the exam. A copy of the rubric can be found .

No food allowed

Complete online application to candidacy on the Graduate School website
