7. Conclusions and Future Work - Automatic Sauté Machine
Looking back on the project as a whole, much of the material learned through creating this mechanism came from the manufacturing process. Much of the process was focused on making sure the links operated well together and the motor worked with the mechanism. The theoretical aspects of the project were fairly straightforward and easily understood through with the knowledge taught from the curriculum. In a future iteration of this design, a closed loop feedback system would be implemented to smooth out the motion of the motor and there would be space to put a real heating element for practical use.
Overall, the prototype did perform the necessary functions, however with a few small adjustments, the design could be used for actual cooking in a reliable way.
