After you have approved your recital date, you will be able to create and print your own recital program online. The Butler School of Music will provide 50 copies of a printed program for your recital, but you must follow these simple guidelines.
You must submit your REQUEST for the departmental program service at least two (2) weeks prior to your recital date!
You can submit and edit the repertoire information online at any time up until the date of your recital, but if you do not complete the following procedure by two weeks before your recital, then the school will not produce your printed programs. You would then be responsible for producing and printing them yourself.
How to Create a Program
Make sure your recital has been confirmed.
Download the Microsoft Word file.
Include as complete identifying title information as possible:
Full Title, Catalog-, Opus-, Work-numbers, Key, etc.
Include full composer name, and birth and death dates.
Important!! The School of Music will NOT include Program Notes in your printed programs. If you choose, you may make your own copies of program notes for distribution at your recital.
Final Step
You and your faculty will receive a completed .pdf of your program to review.
You will receive an email from our staff notifying you when your printed programs are available to be picked up in the Music Services Center.
We hope that most of you choose to submit your information online and within the deadline so that we can produce your programs for you. However, this is by no means a mandatory policy and you are still free to produce and print programs on your own if you prefer. If you wish to produce your own printed program but still have it appear on the web, then simply wait until the four-week deadline has passed before entering your program information online.
