How to join the Confluence as a member / editor
Confluence is our most important platform, as it is intended to house the collective knowledge and experience of multiple solar teams. To that end, it is critical that every member be a part of the Confluence, and actively contribute to bettering it. This guide details how to join the space.
Step-by-step guide
The first major step is to verify your UT wiki account. Every student with an active EID starts off with a deactivated account.
- Call 512-475-9400
- Press 1 on the phone tree
- Tell them specifically "I need to activate my EID to login to the UT wiki service". Do not say anything like "I need to be added to the LHR Solar wiki". They will simply tell you that the space admin has to do that. This is a different thing.
- They will walk you through the rest of the process.
- Attempt to login to the space. If unsuccessful, it means the space admin (captain) has not added you. This probably also means you filled out the roster form improperly.
- If unsuccessful, message team captain, ask them to edit your roster form entry, and also add your EID.
- Start working!
