things will need to be reconsidered/redone if we switch from next gen to next break

  • Dynamics

    • 250N increase per g load (so 500N for 2g bump, and 1000 for 4g isolated

    • CG shifts back by by 3%

    • Spring rates change by like 100 lb/in per spring

    • Load Transfer

    • More traction force

      • Braking force to lock goes up to 180 from 160

    • Brake rotors (almost 1000N increase in friction force) → upright needs to be changed too then

    • Bearings

  • Fergo

    • Frame revalidation (pending devansh response) → No longer necessary since we didn’t give them any load case numbers

      • Not actual revalidation, frame sims have to be changed such that safety factors aren’t the same as the ones we gave despite weight increase

    • Ballast box position → could negatively impact cg

    • Frame tabs (should be fine but might have to revalidate? (mainly tarm))

  • Powertrain

    • Enclosure mounting

      • Blackbody, lighting, horn

    • Cooling Routing

    • PDE & canopy interference

    • Telemetry + canopy

    • antennas

    • battery lift

    • QD

  • Aerodynamics

    • Top shell to frame redesign/reconsider

    • Bottom shell to frame redesign/reconsider

    • Shell to shell redesign/reconsider

    • Canopy hinge redesign

    • Visibility considerations

    • Lighting

    • Cameras

    • Array layout

    • Tilting

    • FIN

  • Composites

    • Bulkhead redesign

    • Cutouts

    • Potentially redesigning/remaking top shell to account for rc clearance + have different shape canopy cutout

    • Remake canopy

      • 3d scan current shells?

    • is there a way to redo top shell with less weight?

      • yes

  • Array Layout

    • Still 3 subarrays

Aeroshell Top SRR:

  • bidirectional

  • array area

  •

Leads Agenda:

  • array optimization - how many subarrays and segments

  • bulkhead timeline for ptn

Critical Blockers

  • Dynamics Load cases

    • What its blocking - All dyn revalidation

    • Plan of action: Weight shell with corner balance, make sure all other mass properties are good and update

    • Get weights, cgz and cgy

    • Re calc weight dist, loads per wheel, dyn loads, truss solver

    • plan to do saturday night (11/8) after cota event

  • Bottom Shell Scan

    • What its blocking - Top shell redesign, composite design → in turn blocks mounting etc

    • Plan of action: scan sunday 11/9

  • Recad daybreak bottom shell

    • if we can have bounding boxes for bump brake steer that would be nice

    • make it usable for sims

Workday Goals

Aero, Composites

  • Figure out max array area → look into extensions and stuff

  • critical bulkheads → bulkhead reference sketch

  • make all init cutouts in bottom shell in cad

  • first iteration of ts w/ canopy cutouts and placeholder canopy in cad and 000

Array

  • Sub arrays → given array space do we still want/need 3

  • can we have panels on the side (worst case scenario)

  • how much layout change

  • start figuring out how many modules → d2 requote maybe

Dynamics

  • Have first iteration of all components passing and mainly finalized so that new loadcases won’t cause too much of a change (hopefully)

  • Make bounding boxes for bump brake steer → done before workday ideally

Fergo

  • frame welding timeline done by end of workday

  • figure out better ballast box position

Vcat/psys

  • lighting/camera integration

ptn

  • pde location (change to be better so that we can build new canopy around it) (whatever hinging issue it was)

  •
