Punctuation
- For marking the ends of utterances, use either a period (.) or a question mark
- Commas (,) do not affect analysis, but can be used to clarify lists, appositives, or phrase boundaries
- Examples
- we had bread, olives, and fish.
- I ran into Henry, the local mechanic, who sold me the parts.
- Examples
- *apostrophes:
- are okay for monolingual English samples and Catalan samples
- Do not use any other punctuation as many other punctuation symbols are used by the program to indicate particular code, such as the colon .
- Catalan:
- use apostrophes (') – decision made 20231107 in Teams.
- use interpunct (·) for words with ela geminada (l·l) – ignore CLAN: Illegal character. Please re-enter it using Unicode standard.(86) -– decision made 20240426 in Teams.
