Introduction

The transcription team is responsible for working in these 3 sequential processes:

Samples to prioritize

Questions about transcriptions for CS supervisors or clinicians

Communication between Connected Speech supervisors, Clinicians and Transcribers with regard to specific questions about transcriptions will be completed using this system:

For all questions

  1. Transcribers Mark sample as "in progress" for TaskName_4.Coded until all questions are resolved

    1. Add question in conversations: example below, make sure to add name of the task and add link to audio sample and to transcription. No need to add date, it's automatically saved. Eg:

  1. In monthly meetings all questions and comments will be addressed using CS SPA CAT Dudas de transcripción, example:

And if samples need to be reclipped the column of needs to be reclipped of this report will be changed to "yes"

Ideally transcribers should join the meeting for a bit to clarify any questions, but if they are clearly written they can be addressed there

  1. After the meeting:

    1. Reclipping (clipping and whisper team) looks at the reclipping report and reclips the samples

    2. Transcribers go to CS SPA CAT Dudas de transcripción to see the “pending” transcriptions and see the decisions or answers there or check pending trascriptions using the usual Transcription Status reports. Transcribers correct all the transcriptions and mark them as complete.

For Code-switching questions

  1. Transcribers Mark sample as "in progress-Codeswitching" for TaskName_4.Coded until all questions are resolved

    image-20251202-230207.png
    1. Add question in conversations: example below, make sure to add name of the task and add link to audio sample and to transcription. No need to add date, it's automatically saved.

The Code-Switch checker enters on a weekly basis to the 0.1 CS SPA CAT Dudas de code-switching report and checks the transcription using a Word addressing all the questions and then attaches it to the report indicating any big changes in the comment that will appear in the “latest comment column”

The transcriber makes final changes to the transcription using the Code-Switching checks word and comments to make sure everything is changed accordingly.(tick)
