7. Future Work: F-14 Wing Sweep

As mentioned in Section 1, the wing sweep mechanism was originally designed to actuate automatically based on aircraft speed. The analysis presented in this report uses the aircraft chassis as ground reference and does not include aircraft speed as input motion. Further analysis could be performed which uses as fixed ground point on earth and incorporating the sweep actuation relative to aircraft speed. This would significantly complicate the analysis based on the motion profile and speed of the aircraft. However, this could be done initially under the assumption of a straight line flight path with constant acceleration. For convenience, the simulation video from Section 2 is included again for reference.
