_Migrating (moving) Assets between Collections
On the "Manage" tab of a Digital Asset, the DAMS interface offers the option to Migrate (move) the Object [read: Asset] to another Collection, or to Share the Object [read: Asset] with another Collection.
Do not use the function "Migrate this Object to another collection".
The Migrating (moving) functionality has not yet been implemented correctly in Islandora.
The MODS metadata reflecting the parent-child relationship between an asset and the DAMS collection is not updated when migrating an asset to a different collection. In addition, the access policy for a migrated asset is not correctly inherited from the new parent collection.
