Clinical Biodesign Approved Coursework

Previously approved courses for the PhD/MSE programs can be found on the Graduate Level Courses by Requirement list. In addition to the approved PhD/MSE coursework, Clinical Biodesign students can utilize the list below for the “other technical elective” requirements.

These lists are not exhaustive and other courses are available to meet program of work requirements. If you find another course that you wish to count toward a requirement, please send the course name, number, and the requirement you want to fill for approval. Approval for “other technical electives” are granted by Dr. James Tunnell (jtunnell@mail.utexas.edu). Approval for Math and Technical Area (1-4) coursework is granted by Dr. Edward Castillo (edward.castillo@utexas.edu). Approval requests should include the Graduate Program Administrator (bme-grad@engr.utexas.edu). A syllabus may be requested in some cases. You must receive approval prior to enrollment in the course.

Other Technical Electives

These courses will satisfy the technical elective requirements for students in the Clinical Biodesign only. They will not count toward any of the Track 1-4 technical requirements.
